Rights

1. My right is the right to privacy.

2. The rights of privacy exist because of many reasons. For the 3rd amendment it mainly exist because when America was a British Colony the British quartered soldiers and the new America didn't want to be anything like the British. The 4th amendment of privacy was because of the public compliant against officials that were able to go through any one's belongings. The rights of privacy mainly exist because of the public complaint against not having privacy.

3. The rights of privacy are protected under the United States Constitution through its many amendments. The 3rd Amendment allows the privacy of one's house against quartering soldiers. The 4th Amendment protects the privacy of one's belongings against unreasonable searches. A cop would not be able to search your house without a warrant. the 5th amendment protects against the taking of private property for public use. With these amendments, I basically have the right to protect my personal belonging and property.

4. The right of privacy has a big limitation involving the government. The government is allowed to seize your private belonging with reason. They can also listen to your phone calls and look at your private information. If the authorities have a reason or a warrant they are able to go through all your personal belongings.

5. These limitations against privacy exist because of the terrorism in America. They also exist so that a person cannot be in possession of illegal things such as drugs.

6. If I had to give up the right of privacy I would want an increase in power of all my other rights. I would want all my other rights to have no limitations. Although there isn't one big law that gives the right of privacy it is still an important right to lose. Without this right the army could have soldiers in public resident's houses, and officials could search your belongings when ever they would want to. The increase in power of all the other rights such as freedom of speech and press would be the only thing that could compensate losing the right of privacy.

Reflection Post Questions

1. From this project I learned more about the D-Day invasion. I learned little interesting facts such as the death rate of allied soldiers, and the different beach locations of the invasion. I also learned what the allied soldiers went through as they stormed the beach.
2. My research question was "What kind of defense did the American soldiers face when they first stepped on the beaches of Normandy during D-Day?"
3. The soldiers faced a heavy artillery defense on the shores. Most soldiers did not even make it to shore because they would be shot in the waters. The Germans were set up on hillsides over looking the beach so they had excellent vision on the enemy. They also had trenches and small forts with machine guns and anti aircraft guns. I don't know how the allies overtook the beach while they faced a strong defense but they prevailed in the end.
4.Yes, my final project answered my research question.
5. My final project answered the research question by showing a visual model of the battle scene. It showed how the Germans were set up on a hillside with trenches. It also showed the allies getting off the boats on the beach. With a model a person can visually see how the Germans had heavy defense on the invading U.S. troops.
6. We did well on making the model look like the actual battle scene. The people that saw our model commented how real our model looked compared to the real D-Day.
7. We could have improved on the timing for this project. Due to the fact that we kept switching the idea for the final product we had little time to make it.
8. I would have changed the materials we used to make the hill from clay to foam covered in clay. This would have made the project much lighter and easier to carry.
9. I don't think I would have changed anything for this assignment. We had clear instructions on what to do. The index cards helped us on making the final product. Overall the assignment was well set up.
10. I think I deserved an A on the project. This is because I completed all the necessary assignments for the project such as the daily posts and index cards. I also worked very hard on the final product which took about six hours to make.
